Condolences on the Death of the President - Dr. Levy P. Mwanawasa, SC.
It is with a sense of deep shock and sadness that we received the news of the untimely
death of our beloved President of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. Levy P. Mwanawasa.
On behalf of general membership of the MMDUK District, we wish to convey our heartfelt
condolences to the First Lady Mrs. Maureen Mwanawasa and family, and the Zambian nation as a whole.
As MMD UK, we greatly appreciated the President's personal commitment to Zambia as a nation
through his social and economic vision and to MMD as party for the people of Zambia. MMD UK
greatly appreciated the President's counsel on each of his visits and his commitment to seeing
the development of the MMD UK as an organ of the party. His leadership remains inspirational
to all of us in MMD UK and the MMD as a party in Zambia. He will be greatly missed by not only
MMD UK but the entire nation.
It is our prayer and hope that the people of Zambia will honour our President by ensuring that
his hard work is not lost in vain but that we all invest our energies and resources into ensuring
that there should be continuity in all the programmes he initiated. May His Soul Rest in peace.
